NAACP Mission Statement

The NAACP insures the political, educational, social and economic equality of minority groups and citizens; achieves equality of rights and eliminates race prejudice among the citizens of the United States; removes all barriers of racial discrimination through the democratic processes; seeks to enact and enforce federal, state, and local laws securing civil rights; informs the public of the adverse effects of racial discrimination and seeks its elimination; educates persons as to their constitutional rights and to take all lawful action in furtherance of these principles.

Branch Services

Through civil rights advocacy and community organization, the Clearwater/UpperPinellas Branch of the NAACP is working to improve the political, educational, social, and economic status of minority groups and eliminate racial prejudice. We keep the public aware of the adverse effects of racial discrimination and take lawful action to secure its elimination. Our efforts are consistent with the policy of the National Organization and are in conformity with the Articles of Incorporation of the Association, its Constitution and Bylaws and as directed by the National Board of Directors.

Location/Service Area

The branch is located in the beautiful gulf coast community of Clearwater, Florida in Pinellas County.  We primarily cover the area north of St. Petersburg to Tarpon Springs, Florida (Pinellas County map indicating service area).
